上海仲裁委员会第二批“涉港涉航涉水”示范合同发布
On October 20, at the opening ceremony of the 2026 North Bund International Shipping Forum, the second batch of "Port, Shipping, and Water-Related" model contract texts by the Shanghai Arbitration Commission was released as an "Innovative Achievement of the High-End Shipping Service Industry," providing transactional rules and professional legal service support for the green fuel technology transformation and upgrading in the shipping industry.
The model contract texts released this time include the "Ship Green Fuel Bunkering Contract" drafted by the China Transportation News Agency, the "Ship Green Fuel Sales Contract" led by the China Ports Association, and the "International Ship Management Contract" drafted by the Shanghai International Shipping Center Development Promotion Association.
Sun Haihua, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission, introduced that the series of model contracts released this time align with the implementation of the Ministry of Transport and other ten departments' work deployment to support the construction of Shanghai's International Shipping Green Fuel Bunkering Center and Trading Center. They focus on the development hotspots of the shipping industry, are based on the actual needs of the industry, and adhere to precise guidance. The contracts cover critical business areas such as green fuel sales, ship fuel bunkering, and international ship operation management, offering voluntary reference and negotiable adoption by various market entities in the industry. This can further standardize market transaction terms, preemptively resolve industry transaction risks, and strengthen the compliance operational foundation of the shipping industry.
Shanghai is making every effort to accelerate the construction of a full-chain system for international shipping green fuel certification, trading, and bunkering. The release of this new batch of model contracts will solidify the contractual framework for high-quality development of new green shipping businesses and models, fully demonstrating Shanghai's positive exploration and practical commitment in positioning itself in the global shipping landscape, serving the industry's green transformation, and continuously enhancing its voice and leadership in international shipping rules.
It is understood that the Shanghai Arbitration Commission released the first batch of "Port, Shipping, and Water-Related" model contract texts at the main forum of the 2025 North Bund International Shipping Forum. The model contracts have effectively helped market players reduce transaction costs, improve transaction efficiency, and minimize performance disputes, empowering and enhancing the rule-of-law and standardized development of the Shanghai International Shipping Center.
