The China Automobile Dealers Association released the weekly report on used cars (August 19-25, 2024). From August 19 to 25, the average daily transaction volume was 59,200 units, with the transaction scale remaining basically unchanged from the previous week, still at a low level. Based on comparable calculations, from August 1 to 25, the transaction volume of used cars was 1.3 million units, a 2% decrease compared to the same period in July. The combined impact of extreme weather changes, fluctuations in consumer confidence, and the off-season effect has influenced the overall market trend. It is expected that the transaction volume in August will reach approximately 1.57 million units, roughly the same as the same period last year.
